Maine’s ten-year economic development strategy prioritizes the expansion of the state’s workforce talent pool, with a central focus on attracting both population and labor from outside the state. To support this objective, the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) commissioned the Maine Migration Project (MMP) to establish a comprehensive baseline assessment of migration trends and migrant characteristics in Maine.

Located in Aroostook County, Maine, the King Pine Wind Project is a 1,000 MW rated terrestrial wind array that will provide electric power to Maine and ISO-New England customers. WEA supported Longroad Energy Partner’s competitive proposal in response to the Maine PUC’s Northern Maine Renewable Energy Development. Program providing analysis of King Pine’s economic benefits.
